  • Laurie Miller Musselman It is demonstrating the obsessive licking associated with pit bulls. Desperate furmom/ladies think this is love, or it is just licking them because they are special. However, the over-licking that they can not control, is an actual obsession associated with the pit bull dogs.

  • Nancy Perdue Laurie I know animals will lick to control them selves from biting. I woudn't be surprised if a Pitbull's need for obsessive licking is linked to their natrual instinct/desire to bite & hold.

  • Nancy Perdue Well yeah I know that, but what about when dogs are all grown up? My 7 year old Papillon will lick out of affection and also to control herself from biting me when I'm doing something she does like. Like trimming her nails, but I have to muzzle her. Because she'll only stand it so much until she loses it.

  1. "My question to pit-bull fans is: If pit bulls are such wonderful family dogs, why have they been banned in 12 countries? That's right, 12. Belgium; Brazil; Denmark; Finland; France; Canada (Winnipeg, Quebec); the Netherlands; New Zealand; Norway; Poland; Puerto Rico (a commonwealth of the United States); and Sweden. The pit bull is rightfully banned from these smart countries because it is a very aggressive, fearless, vicious, bloodthirsty attack dog that has no place in civilized society."
